Философия горного велосипеда

Доброго времени суток, уважаемые.
Есть люди, которые занимаются чем-либо, не задаваясь вопросом - а почему они это делают. Почему они делают это, а не что-то другое.
Однако, некоторые люди имеют развернутую аргументацию, можно сказать, философскую систему, в которой детально разъясняется, чем именно данное увлечение хорошо, чем оно лучше какого-либо другого, каких целей позволяет достигать и почему.
Так вот, у меня, собственно, вопрос к тем, у кого такое развернутое вИдение сформировалось: почему вы занимаетесь ИМЕННО горным велосипедом, чем данное увлечение лучше других и каких целей вы при этом достигаете?

Да по-моему какая тут может быть аргументация? Любовь - штука иррациональная. Вот выбор того или иного байка можно аргументировать, но зачем пытаться объяснить то, почему та или иная вещь приносит удовольствие? Просто нравится, и всё! :D

Ну вообще мне и на коньках интересно, и на роликах, и на карте. Но без фанатизма. А байк - это совсем другое. Метафизически-иррациональное.

Сформулирую некоторые причины, почуему мне нравится маунтинбайк.
1. Во первых, маунтинбайк аккумулирует в себе идею свободы, практически ни от чего не зависящую. Дл я того, чтобы поехать на автомобиле, нужно, для начала, горючее, нужно иметь права и.т.п. Для того, чтобы пуститься в путешествие на MTB, кроме исправного велосипеда, ездока и желания ничего практически не надо.
2. MTB возвращет идею свободного общения людей. Современный мегаполис, несмотря на, казалось бы, большие возможности для общения, на самом деле не способствует этому. Каждый зажат в привычном круге общения - работа, дом. И возможностей вырваться из него очень мало. MTB позволяет разрушить этот круг, вернуть людям радость общения.
3. MTB возвращает человека к природе. Мегаполис отрывает человека от природы, погружая его в чуждую ему искусственную среду из бетона и асфальта. MTB возвращает человека к его корням, к той среде, откуда он вышел, где он чувствует себя комфортно, чьей энергией он питается.
4. MTB учит человека бороться с природой и самим собой. Современная цивилизация несколько исказила смысл борьбы. В обычной жизни боремся, в основном, не с природой, а с себе подобными, причем боремся не буквально, а путем интриг, хитрости, и т.п. MTB позволяет создает условия борьбы со стихией, условия для преодоления сложностей.
5. Движение MTB не зависит от СМИ и рекламы. В современной жизни реклами и PR играют очень большую роль. Понятия о том, что престижно, а что нет, что модно, а что нет, что нужно потреблять, а что нет вдабливаются людям с экрана и из радиоэфира. Поскольку движение МTB, по сути дела, не зависит от этого, оно представляет собой как бы паралельный основному миру мир, которому чужда коммерция и PR.
6. MTB развивает человека физичиески, расширяет кругозор, воспитывает эстетически.
Ну, и так далее, и тому подобное :-)

Все высказанные идеи поэтому буду сильно критиковать :-)
Сразу скажу, что велосипед и катание на нем - люблю.

Общее с автомобилем - нужна дорога. Кроме того, не каждый сможет крутить педали весь день напролет, а в авто ехать - да пожалста. Или вот, в походы ходить - даже дороги не надо :-) Но нужна, например, электричка до места похода, т.к. пешком из дома в мегаполисе за целый день и до места похода не дойдешь.

Свобода ограничена везде, просто у разных способов передвижения есть разные возможности, и у всех свои плюсы и минусы. Например, на автомобиле можно проехать 1000км в день - огромное расстояние. Но тачку надо заправлять, нужна пристойная дорога и т.п. Пешком можно забуриться в такие чащи, где и вел замучаешься таскать... Но далеко не пройдешь, т.к. скорость мала. А если на байдарку сесть, то можно уплыть очень далеко, куда и пешком не пройдешь :-))))

Разумная мысль наверно в том, что велик в себе сочетает оптимальные возможности для определенного вида передвижения, которые в других способах либо недостаточны, либо излишни.
То есть можно выехать на природу в лес/парк, покататься там и вернуться домой в тот же день, проделав путь в 10-70км (у всех по-своему:-).

В общении сидя на велике приятного мало. Потому что отвлекаешься от дороги (небезопасно), нужно перекрикивать шум (неудобно), и дыхание сбивается (неполезно). Все общение будет происходить в время привалов и отдыха, но для этого необязательно выезжать на велосипеде.
Вот в пивном баре - это общение, и ехать далеко не надо!...:-)
Разумное зерно в том, что наверно общение происходит во время занятия спортом, полезного для здоровья.

См. мысль про походы. Хотя здесь соглашусь с тем, что вел это оптимальный вариант вырваться на природу (в близлежащий лес или парк) например, после работы. А так же к моей мысли про общение добавляется то, что весь процесс может происходить на природе.

Вся борьба с природой сводится к преодолению сил сопротивления воздуха и трения (трение это универсальный закон). Кое-где - сложного рельефа местности и грунта. Даже с дождем, когда он идет, особо не поборешься, так как остается только мокнуть :-)

О! А вы случаем не специалист по PR или там маркетолог? ;-) Чисто внешне показалось, что в тексте довольно много громких фраз (PR-штампов) типа "движение МTB", "возвращает человека к его корням", "бороться с природой"....

Мое мнение: изложенные тезисы во многом "притянуты за уши", будто стоит цель специльно написать некую философию из нескольких пунктов. Хотя, как честно указано в начале сообщения, это описание почему МТБ нравится конкретному человеку.

Вряд ли такой спорт (для одних) или хобби (для других) как MTB может привить человеку вкус и любовь к красоте. Это скорее одно из предназначений искусства и культуры.

А вот насчет физического развития - все по делу. Для меня в велосипеде очень важна возможность поддерживать себя в форме. Также при катании на природе после дня в пыльном душном офисе хорошо вентилируются мозги.

Итак, если резюмировать мои идеи: для меня вел - это классный способ приятно провести время в компании друзей на свежем воздухе, получить приятные эмоции и немного адреналина от процесса передвижения, отдохнуть и развеяться после работы, держать себя в пристойной физической форме.

А еще не было сказано о соревнованиях и гонках - многие любят быть первыми....:-)

В общении сидя на велике приятного мало. Потому что отвлекаешься от дороги (небезопасно), нужно перекрикивать шум (неудобно), и дыхание сбивается (неполезно). Все общение будет происходить в время привалов и отдыха, но для этого необязательно выезжать на велосипеде.
Вот в пивном баре - это общение, и ехать далеко не надо!...:-)
Разумное зерно в том, что наверно общение происходит во время занятия спортом, полезного для здоровья.

Дабы не быть уличенным в оверквотинге (или как там его) буду спорить по пунктам в отдельных постах.
С тем, что занятие горным велосипедом менее способствует общению, чем пивбар, я не согласен.
По моим наблюдениям самые прочные отношения завязываются между людьми, когда они совместно движутся к какой-то цели, преодолевают трудности. Тут как раз этот случай. Конечно, во время движения особо не пообщаешься словесно, но зато происходит другой вид общения - невербальный, что не хуже.
Обстановка во время привала после тяжелого участка маршрута больше способствует общению, чем что либо.

Ну, с самой природой, конечно, не поборешься. Но можно побороться с последствиями ее влияния на окружающую среду. Например, едет велобайкер в дальней покатухе - и вдруг - дождь (град, снег). Горожанин залез в тачку (квартиру, офис) - и увильнул от борьбы. А велобайкер продолжает путь в неблагоприятных условиях, преодолевая последствия воздействия сил природы. Он один на один с природой. Разве не так?
